The real value
It guides you through the permit
No more staring at a risk table trying to work out the rating because you are 400 mm away on the horizontal and 800 mm on the vertical. Let the permit brain guide you.
The risk rating is calculated, not interpreted from a table
Every question is site specific — asked because of what is actually there
Nothing to print, nothing to draw, nothing to lose
The signed permit is on file the moment it is issued, ready for the audit
Important
This does not take the liability or the ownership of preventing and reducing risk off you. It supports you through the process and tells you what is expected of you, site specific, as you are doing it.

volume agreement
Examples are illustrative at the per-permit rate above. Volume agreements are available for programmes issuing consistently high permit numbers.
Why per permit
Charging per seat punishes the thing we want more of
Per seat
You ration the licences
Licences get rationed to the people who raise the most permits
Casual and subcontract crews are left off the platform
The people most likely to miss a step are the ones without the app
You pay in the quiet months whether you dig or not
Per permit
Everyone gets the app
Every person in the business gets the app, including subbies
Cost tracks work won — quiet month, small bill
The permit cost sits against the job it belongs to
Nobody is excluded from the safety process to save a licence
Questions
When is a permit charged?
When it is issued. Permits raised and abandoned before issue are not charged.
How do permit tokens work?
Buy a block of tokens up front on one invoice. A token is drawn down each time a permit is issued, so nobody is stopped mid-job waiting on a payment.
Does my client subsidise the permit?
Some principals and asset owners cover part or all of the cost for contractors on their programme. Contact us and we will tell you whether yours does.
Is there a platform or setup fee?
No. There is no annual platform fee and no per-seat licence. Implementation for larger programmes is quoted separately where custom criteria need loading.
What about subcontractors?
They use your account at no additional user cost. The permits they raise are charged the same as your own.
Does CivilSnap cost extra?
CivilSnap is priced separately, per completed record. Many customers run both; the permit and the capture are billed independently.
Do asset owners pay?
No. Asset owners publish their criteria and sign permits at no charge. The contractor raising the permit pays.
Can we agree a volume rate?
Yes. Programmes issuing consistently high permit numbers can move to a committed volume agreement.
Start with one permit
No contract to sign before you see it work. Raise a permit, see the process, then decide.
